2017 A Night in Madrid - LIBRARY WINE AVAILABLE TO SIREN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY
52 bottle / 42 club - not currently available in our tasting room
I fell in love with my wife a second time over a glass of Rioja one memorable night in Madrid. En amor, as the Spanish say. It may have been the pairing with the delicious tapas. No doubt the candles and gypsy music added to the romantic mood. It’s hard to say exactly, but I was enchanted by that wine and I heard its siren song.
The “Madrid” is my personal expression of that wine and that night. It’s a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes made in small batches and truly hand-crafted. It’s elegant and aromatic. ¡Buen provecho!
Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Enchanting with a bold finish and notes of tobacco, dried fig, and black pepper.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this with steak, pork roast, or a spicy lasagna. Our favorite Spanish food pairings are gambas al ajillo (prawns cooked in garlic, wine, and butter), tortilla, and, of course, paella.
