2016 Cabernet Sauvignon ASV - LIBRARY WINE AVAILABLE TO SIREN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY
64 bottle / 52 club - not currently available in the tasting room
Exclusive wines from our Ancient Stones Estate Vineyard in The Rocks District of Walla Walla. This tiny AVA is situated on the ancient Walla Walla River bed. Softball-sized cobbles extend more than 300 feet into the earth, requiring vines to reach deep into the terroir in search of water. Deep rooting combined with radiant heat from the rocks during ripening make these wines bold and structured on the palette.
Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This wine has aromatics of blackberries, thyme, and sagebrush, and is a beautifully classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon on the palate, with a little smoke lurking around the edges. It shows strength while also being supple and sensuous.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this wine with a big, juicy porterhouse steak, or a gorgeous medium-rare burger topped with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese.
