An Evening in Provence - Educational Wine Dinner
Friday, April 17th 6-9pm
An evening in Provence is our nod to both the Southern Rhône Wine valley and the food flavor profiles of this warm dry climate with cool wet winters. Its terroir produces an abundance of fruit and vegetables. Its proximity to the sea gives way to a variety of Mediterranean flavors and seafood dishes. Dried herbs, lavender, nuts, and sauces containing saffron provide a culinary cornucopia of flavors. From tantalizing hues, complex flavor profiles, and bright colors, the food of Provence is a taste treat.
An Evening in Provence will take you to away to the culinary beauty of Provence. Provence is known both for its culinary vibrancy, and for its bold, elegant wine varietals that hail from its rocky Mediterranean terroir in the Southern Rhône Valley. Each course is paired with a Siren Song Rhône inspired wine from our Siren of the Ancient Stones vineyard in the Rocks District AVA. The Rocks District is named for its rocky terroir, similar to the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhône. You’ll taste Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and our newly released Grenache Rosé, Belle Tavel, named for the Tavel appellation in Provence, famous for its gorgeous Rosé wines. We invite you to savor the flavors of Provençal fare paired with Siren Song Rhône inspired wines.
